The Beryl family includes Aquamarine, Morganite, Heliodor and Goshenite (White Beryl)
Beryl’s are part of a family of silicate minerals that have similar chemical and physical properties but vary in color based on the trace elements present in each crystal.
Pure Beryl would be colorless; it is the trace elements that give Beryl’s their colors. For example, chromium, vanadium and iron create greens; manganese creates pinks, peaches and possibly reds too, and iron is believed to create yellow.
